Bucyrus Elementary and Secondary Schools were put on the internal lock down Monday morning. Bucyrus Superintendent Kevin Kimmel said they received an unsubstantiated threat of violence against the school district and made the decision to do an internal lock-down, to ensure the safety and security of all Bucyrus City School District students and staff members. Bucyrus Police say that a juvenile was in custody over the incident. The school lifted the lock down later in the day after all Bucyrus City School District students and staff members were safe and secure. Bucyrus Schools received a bomb threat via social media last month on January 4th.
