Yesterday around 9:20 am, City of Marion Firefighters responded to 327 Edgewood Drive to find a working house fire with flames showing from basement windows and heavy smoke showing from front and side door. All occupants escaped prior to fire dept arrival. The Marion Fire Department arrived and requested mutual aid from Marion Twp Fire Engine 313. No injuries sustained but damage to the structure and contents were significant. Red Cross provided assistance to the family and firefighters on scene.Officials say damage estimates will range from $50,000 to $70,000.
