Three Vehicle Injury Crash In Marion County

Troopers from the Marion Post of the State Patrol,are investigating a crash that happened at 1:01 p.m on Saturday, October 16th.  John L. Pennington Jr., age 48, of Bucyrus, was headed south on Ohio 98 in a 2011 Buick Enclave. Jerry P. Martin, 50, of Marion was northbound on Ohio 98 in a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am.  According to a press release from the Ohio State Patrol's Marion post,  Stanley Hunt, age 28, failed to stop at a stop sign and proceeded to cross Ohio 98, where he struck Pennington.Pennington then went left of center and struck Martin head on. Mr. Hunt and his passenger, Laken R. McGlone, age 26, of Fostoria, were transported to Marion General Hospital.  Mr. Pennington and passengers, Lorie A. Pennington, age 50, and Cody M. Pennington, age 12, were also transported to Marion General.  Mr. Martin was taken by medical helicopter to Grant Medical Center in Columbus.  No charges have been filed. The crash remains under investigation.
