Marion County Prosecutor Brent Yager's Preliminary Autopsy Results

Preliminary autopsy results are saying that Marion County prosecutor Brent Yager, died of heart disease. Yager had been out of the office much of the time in recent months, due to an unspecified medical condition.  The initial autopsy also found that Yager suffered from a broken shoulder that may have happened when he collapsed at home.  The final results from the autopsy could take 8-12 weeks to complete. Assistant prosecutor Matt Frericks, is serving as acting county prosecutor until local GOP leaders meet to vote on Yager's replacement.  Under Ohio law, party leaders have 45 days to find a replacement.
