Turning Point in Marion will have their annual "Picnic on the Porch," an open house that will be at the shelter Friday, October 6th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The free event features a lunch, they will have tours of the shelter, and a dessert competition. The event is held in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The Domestic Violence Shelter is located at 330 Barks Road West in Marion.
