Troopers from the Marion Post of the Highway Patrol are investigating a crash that happened Saturday at 4:25pm on State Route 4 at County Road 106 in Marion County
Shane M. Deyo age 26, of Rushylvania was driving his 2005 Volkswagen Golf eastbound on County Road 106, and Jeremy W. Cox, age 33 of Richwood, was driving his 2006 Honda Odyssey North bound on State Route 4. Deyo stopped at a stop sign and was struck by Cox. Deyo’s car hit a sign post and a gas line marker before coming to a stop in a ditch.
Mr. Deyo was life flighed to Grand Medical Center in Columbus, and Mr. Cox was transported to Marion General Hospital. Mr. Deyo’s passenger Mildred L. Robinson, age 46, was taken to Grant Hospital, where she later died from her injuries. Mr. Cox’s passengers, Lindsay Cox age 31, Dallas Cox, age 4, and Makayla Cox, age 11, were taken to Marion General hospital.
