Aaron Hughes of Wales is the first person to survive a swim across the reservoir that spans Arizona and Nevada. Bureau of Reclamation officials told Hughes he got away with it because 9 of the 10 power turbines at the dam were not operating. He was arrested immediately after getting out of the water and fined 330 dollars. When the stunt was over he admitted to having " a little too much to drink."
