Marion Man Charged With Burglary In Morrow County

On August 23, 2017 the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of a burglary in progress on County Road 77 in Congress Township.

The homeowners arrived at their residence and found a vehicle parked in their driveway. After exiting their vehicle they realized that their residence had been broken into. The homeowners immediately called the Sheriff’s Office and Deputies were on scene within minutes of the call being placed.

Deputies searched the residence and did not locate anyone inside the residence but did find the back door of the residence open. The Deputies believed the suspect had ran out the back door.

The Mt. Gilead Police Canine Unit was on duty in the Village of Mt. Gilead, they were called to the scene to conduct a search for the suspect. After a short search by the Canine Unit the suspect was found lying in the tall weeds. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.

The suspect was identified as Kyle Mark age 32 of Marion Ohio. Kyle Mark was charged with burglary and is being held in the Morrow County Correctional Facility on a $2500 bond.
