Glider Crash In Marion County Injures One Person

A glider crash on Saturday afternoon in Marion County injured one person.  Ohio State Highway Patrol officials said 77-year-old Martin Sobel was piloting a glider that was being towed by another aircraft.  After takeoff the glider failed to maintain stability and hit a tree. 


The glider crashed in a field roughly amile away from the runway at the Marion Municipal Airport . Accordingto officials Sobel was taken to Marion General Hospital.


The crash is currently under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration.
