Marion Man Indicted On Child Pornography Charges

A Marion man was indicted on multiple charges of child pornography.  Last week the Marion County Common Pleas Court indicted James P. Perry Jr., age 41, of 497 of South Main Street in Marion.  Marion police officers obtained a search warrant and searched Perry's home in April, after another law enforcement agency tipped them off that a person seemed to be downloading child pornography from a computer at his address.  When the officers arrived at his home they saw Mr. Perry’s laptop with a screensaver of naked, underage girls.  Officers took Mr. Perry’s laptop and other electronic devices. The devices were then sent to the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation for analysis.  Mr. Perry posted bond that was set at $10,000.
