33 months in prison for 71-year-old John Richard Blazer. The US Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio says Blazer orchestrated many investment fraud schemes from 2011 to 2013. The feds say Blazer recruited investors by promising them their money would be invested in one of his businesses or in a real estate fund including federal Section 8 housing. He actually was pocketing the money and repaying some of his 21 victims. The feds say Blazer shuffled around a million dollars in that scheme.
