Recently resigned Marion City Schools Superintendent, Gary Barber was involved in a single vehicle accident on Tuesday, in the Tiffin area, and was issued two citations.
Barber, who resigned as Marion City Schools superintendent in March to take the same position there, was cited with operating a vehicle while under the influence and failure to control, according to court documents.
The traffic report indicated a field sobriety test was administered for Barber, and the test indicated an 0.154 blood alcohol level. The Ohio legal limit is 0.08. Barber was taken into custody and released on $528 bond. Mr. Barber appeared for arraignment Wednesday in Tiffin-Fostoria Municipal Court, where he entered a not guilty plea for the OVI.
