Charles H. “Charlie” Keenan, age 86, of Mount Gilead, passed away Tuesday evening, May 9, 2017 at his home.
He was born on February 6, 1931, in Quaker City, OH, to the late Fred and Marie Keenan.
On May 10, 1953, Charles married the love of his life, Evelyn Joan Brownfield, and they shared the last 64 years together.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; children Debbie Keenan-Staley, Pamela (Jerry) Beardsley, Bradley (Bonnie) Keenan, Molly (Mark) Lee, and Harvey (Aimee Bouvier) Keenan; 12 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Per Charlie’s wishes, a private family burial will be held at Friends Cemetery in Quaker City, OH.
Rather than flowers, memorial contributions in Charlie’s name may be made to your local AmVets or American Legion, or to the American Cancer Society.
