There should be less hurricanes this year.

This is April 7th and they are trying to tell us what is going to happen in 6 months. We will see.

Sure, we’ve seen some rough weather in recent weeks, but this year's Atlantic hurricane season forecast is predicting fewer storms than last year. The official Atlantic hurricane season starts in June and runs until November.

Colorado State University's Tropical Meteorology Project has released their annual report and i9t calls for eleven-named storms, four hurricanes and two major hurricanes that are at least category-three this season.

For the record, that's one-named storm and two hurricanes short of the 30-year average. Officials caution that it's impossible to predict how many storms will hit the U.S, so it's important to always be prepared.
