Dorothy Pelanda a state representative from Marysville will run for secretary of state next year. She picked yesterday to announce her campaign because it was Ohio Statehood day, and her birthday. Sixty-one year old Pelanda says she is running for Secretary of State to ensure elections are fair, open and handled with integrity. She wants to give Ohioans confidence that their voices are being heard. Republican John Husted is the current holder of the office. Pelanda is a lawyer and a small business owner in her fourth term.
