Marion County Declares Level 3 Snow Emergency!

Due to the extended weather forecast and increasing snowfall rates through the afternoon hours, Sheriff Matt Bayles has announced that Marion County will be moving to a Level 3 Snow Emergency at 4:00pm today, Thursday, February 3, 2022.

This announcement is being made so citizens and businesses can make the appropriate arrangements prior to nightfall when visibility is expected to decrease dramatically.

If the public needs to call the Marion County Sheriff’s Office for snow level information, please dial 740-382-8244 Option #1.

LEVEL 3 - All roadways are closed to all non-emergency traffic. Driving is prohibited unless it is due to an emergency, essential business, or work travel only. Those traveling on closed roadways for other than emergency or essential travel may be subject to arrest
