A man from Carey was hit by a truck and killed Tuesday on SR 15 in Wyandot County, while trying to do a good deed. Twenty-eight year old Mikhael Weyer, of Carey, stopped to assist twenty-one year-old William Kennard, of Grove City, when he ran out of gas. Weyer was struck by a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado driven by sixty-one year-old Jeffrey Striner, of Dublin, while putting gas in Kennard’s van. Weyer was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kennard, who had been standing behind his van, and Striner, who was wearing a seatbelt, were not hurt.
