The Marion Police Department is looking into a possible attempted abduction of two elementary school students Thursday morning near Grant Middle School. On Thursday, a 7-year-old and an 8-year-old were walking to school near Bradford and Franklin streets about 8:15 a.m. when a white man in a black SUV pulled up and motioned to them to come toward him. The man described as wearing a black jacket and smoking a cigarette got out of the vehicle and started moving toward the children, one of the children took off running, while the other did not move. Both students were unharmed and are safe, anyone with information about the vehicle or the person involved in the incident is asked to contact the Marion Police Department.
