Crawford County Man Killed In Two-Vehicle Crash

A man from Crawford County was killed in a two-vehicle crash yesterday. A white 2016 Ford Truck F-550 owned by Gundenkauf Corporation and driven by a forty-two year old male for Gallia County, was traveling East on Monnett-New Winchester Road, where he failed to yield at the intersection of Ohio 100 and struck a white 2001 Toyota that was driven by a thirty-three year old male from Crawford County. After the car came to a rest it caught fire.  JAWS of live were used to remove the driver of the Toyota.  He was taken to Galion Hospital were he later died from his injuries. 

The driver of the truck was transported to the Galion Hospital in critical condition. He was then flown by medical helicopter to Grant Medical Center in Columbus.

The drivers’ identities have not been published per the request of the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office as families are properly notified.
