The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident in Marion County that happened around 4:00 a.m. Wednesday.
WBNS 10TV is reporting that Troopers say a car traveling eastbound on Bethlehem Road crashed underneath the trailer of a semi-truck going south on U.S. 23.
The collision caused the car to catch fire. The vehicle was dragged approximately 150 yards by the semi-truck until both vehicles came to a stop south of the intersection, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol. Only one person in the vehicle and that person was pronounced dead on the scene.
The driver and passenger inside the semi-truck neither were injured.
