At 11:36 Tuesday night, Marion Fire Department crews responded to a structure fire at 327 Uncapher Ave. When crews arrived four minutes later they found a 28x20 detached garage fully engulfed in flames. The building was located behind a vacant house, near an alley.
No firefighters were injured putting out the fire. Because the fire looked suspicious the Marion Fire Department sent in two fire investigators.
The garage and the house belong to 53 year-old Jacqueline Miller and has been vacant since she was taken into custody on a charge of murder and eventually found guilty of beating to death her 81-year-old neighbor.If you have any information about this fire your are asked to call the Marion Fire Dept at 740-382-0040
