A Marion man has been accused of child abuse. Brandon Groteler, age 24 was indicted by a Marion County grand jury. On April 7th, Marion Police received a report of domestic violence in the 1000 block of Uncapher Avenue. A woman alleged that Groteler assaulted her three-year-old grandson. When the Police arrived they found a large bruise on the right side of the boy's temple that was swelling over his right eye.Bruising and red marks were also found all over the boy’s face. According to reports, Groteler was watching the boy at the time of the incident. He initially said he was playing to rough with the boy, later admitting he was disciplining the boy. Groteler was arrested, and is being held on at $250,000 bond.
