The Bucyrus School district is adding a 2nd school resource officer. Bucyrus School will pay 75% of the salary and benefits for the resource officer.Bucyrus Superintendent Kevin Kimmel told a local media outlet,if spending $61,000 per year makes our staff, students and families feel safer, it’s worth every penny. The 2nd officer from the Bucyrus Police Department will be added at the start of the next school year. Many area schools have been adding resource officers.
