“RESPECT,” Playing September 17-19 at the Marion Palace Theatre

The Palace Cultural Arts Association (PCAA) is pleased to announce “RESPECT” starring Academy Award® Winner Jennifer Hudson will be shown at the Marion Palace Theatre September 17 through September 19. The Palace Theatre is located at 276 W. Center Street in Marion, Ohio.

Following the rise of Aretha Franklin's career from a child singing in her father's church's choir to her international superstardom, “RESPECT” is the remarkable true story of the music icon's journey to find her voice. Starring Jennifer Hudson as Aretha Franklin, the film also features Forest Whitaker as C. L. Franklin and Marlon Wayans as Ted White.

“RESPECT” is rated PG-13 for mature thematic content, strong language including racial epithets, violence, suggestive material, and smoking and runs 2 hours, 25 minutes. Show times are 7:30 p.m. - Friday, September 17; 2 p.m. – Saturday, September 18 and 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.- Sunday, September 19. Sunday afternoon will show with open captions.

Admission prices for movies are $4 for all ages and $2 for current 2021-2022 PCAA members presenting a valid membership card. Concessions items available for purchase include 20 oz. Pepsi products, popcorn, and boxed theatre candy for $2 each.
