State Patrol's Staff Lt. Hughes Promoted To Captain At Bucyrus District

Staff Lieutenant Travis A. Hughes was promoted to the rank of captain for the Bucyrus District Headquarters of the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Richlandsource.com reports that Captain Hughes will transfer from his current assignment at the Cleveland District Headquarters to serve as commander of the Bucyrus District Headquarters. In November 1992, Captain Hughes became a cadet dispatcher assigned to the Bellefontaine and Marysville posts. He was first assigned to the Lima Post, where he earned the Ace Award for excellence in auto larceny enforcement four times. Hughes also served as a sergeant at the Lima Post. In 2012 he was promoted to lieutenant and transferred to the Elyria Post where he served as commander.
