A man from Carey Has died after a two car collision around 3 pm., Saturday, on Ohio 19 north of Genzman Road near mile post 7 in Ottawa County. Sixty-Six Year-old Rodney L. Traxler, of Carey, suffered fatal injuries after a southbound 2005 Lexus LS-340 on Ohio 19, driven by Sixty-three year-old Ralph T. Davis, of Richwood, went left of center toward Traxler’s 2007 Toyota Tacoma, which was northbound on Ohio 19.
Traxler swerved to avoid a collision. Davis hit Traxler head-on Traxler’s vehicle then struck a utility pole. Davis suffered incapacitating injuries as a result of the crash. Sixty-one year-old Lois J. Traxler, of Carey, was the front passenger of Traxler’s vehicle. She suffered incapacitating injuries as a result of the crash. Rodney L. Traxler died at the scene he was not wearing a seatbelt.
