Marion Woman Found Competent To Stand Trial

A Marion woman that is charged with murder has been found competent to stand trial.

A Marion County judge found a Jacqueline R. Miller, competent to stand trial Tuesday.

Miller is charged with murder in the stabbing death of her 81-year-old neighbor.  Miller was evaluated by a psychologist after her attorney requested she undergo an evaluation to determine whether she is able to understand court.

Miller was arrested shortly after neighbor Howard Biederman was found dead June 7th in his home on Uncapher Avenue.  Miller is also charged with possession of cocaine.

Miller is scheduled to next appear in court at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, September 21st.  She is scheduled to go to trial on Octorber 17th.
