You may have noticed work being done on the 1921 school building at 827 North Main Street in Marion. The building is being transformed into Marion’s first detox center. When it opens next year it will have 15 beds for both men and women. Center Director Arnita Pittman. spent 30 years with the Department of Corrections working in the drug and alcohol program.
