The Marion Police Department is making people aware of a scam going around. The caller from the number 740-546-5183, claimed to be collecting donations for Police and Sheriffs. The Marion Police Department found other complaints in a Google search where the caller claimed to represent the Trooper's Coalition and yet another where the caller claimed to be from "card services" of a credit card company. Always remember only give to known organizations that you trust.
